A neighbourhood taverna out in the eastern suburb of Pilea, with a bright, terrazzo-floored room hung with old photographs and a plant-filled front terrace warmed by heaters into the evening. The cooking is honest, home-style Greek — grills, seasonal plates and meze — served without fuss to a mostly local crowd. Away from the tourist centre, it's the kind of spot worth the short hop uphill.
