Kritamos Meze-Bar

A much-loved meze-bar out in the eastern neighbourhood of Toumpa, named for the sea-fennel (kritamos) that flavours the coast. The best tables are on the green-chaired pavement terrace under the awning, where a rolling spread of small plates arrives with ouzo and tsipouro — grilled sardines, cured and raw fish, sea-bream carpaccio and seasonal vegetables, plated with more care than the neighbourhood average. One of the highest-rated tables away from the tourist centre.
