A warm, brick-walled meze-and-grill spot up towards the eastern edge of the centre, its name — 'Grape Earth' — glowing in neon over a room strung with festoon lights and lined with shelves of local products. The format is the familiar northern-Greek one: ouzo and tsipouro with a rolling spread of small plates, from whipped feta with a fried-pastry cracker to charcoal-grilled skewers. It stays reliably busy, which is exactly what you want from a mezedopoleio.
